The site mills raw gypsum and uses it to manufacture drywall.  It is the oldest board plant in the CertainTeed family, made up of buildings ranging in age from 1938 - 2000, with over 300 pieces of equipment running in a single line automated process.  The final product is sold throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Western Ontario.  The site has exclusively provided drywall for the James Richardson International Airport and the Human Rights Museum.

It is requested that all guests bring their own PPE if available; steel toed shoes, high visibility vests, safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection. The site does have a limited stock available for those who do not have their own.

Everyone will be taken through a 20 minute safety orientation including a history/site overview presentation prior to the tour.
